Spider/Pin....then what?
I am thinking into doing some small time breeding. I want to a get a spider OR a pin. I was wondering what are some of the coolest morphs to mix with spiders and pins. I want something that's going to bring as much variation as possible, and I only want to spend a couple hundred bucks( <650). That price doesn't include spider or pin.
P.S. Not too excited about Bumblebees.
Thanks!
I'll push American, before I'll drive foreign.
Don't argue with an idiot, they'll drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

should get most then make a spinner then if it were me, id start on a spinner blast pied project, just because i like pieds lol. BUT, thats me, or you could get a mojave and make mojave spiders, and add a touch of yellowbelly to clean it up a bit, just my two cents

Well you can get a male of one and a female of the other and make spinner blasts.
Or you can get a pastel and make Bee's with the spider or Lemon blasts with the pin.
Then take the blast or bee and try for killer blast or killer bees.

Lesser!! Or Butter. They make fantastic combos. Although, you can only do it once. Adding another in will only create BEL's. Pastel's have a lot of potential since, their super will also show any other combo with it.
Fire's are nice too. But, I am a sucker for lesser combo's

Re: Spider/Pin....then what?
Okay very important: Watch the market! See whats up and whats down this year. Spider males are like $200.00; Pinestripes are around the same. Add another 50-100 for a female for each one. Remember 3 yrs for females; 1-1/2 for males. Most important get a distributor in line to buy your babies so you have a backup for the ones you don't want.
Honestly.....I would just get a male pinestripe or male spider get a 2 yr. old normal female and wait a year. Breed her and than sell your babies back to a distributor to make your money back or trade.
Going all crazy your first time around gets costly. I know from experience.

Re: Spider/Pin....then what?
Spiders and pins stand out because their extreme pattern changes are extremely different from wild type ball pythons.
I'd suggest looking at strong color morphs.
Since you are concerned about finances, for the price, I'd heartily suggest a pastel female. Then again you're not excited about bumblebees. On top of that, everyone and their brother will be producing bees in these next couple of years.
I'd stick by the idea of color morphs, or color/pattern morphs. They might be out of your price range, but lessers, enchis, fires, and deserts all add some pretty spectacular color to any designer combo morph.

Re: Spider/Pin....then what?
I'm in the same situation, financially. Bought 2 pastels 2 years ago and just hatched 3 supers out of 9 eggs last month. I just got myself a pin to produce lemon blast, while a joint venture breeding with a friend spider to get a bumblebee.
I'm not that excited about bumblebee either, but I want one so that I can produce killerbee later... I want to have superpastel of everything.. so now I'm targeting for super lemon blast, killerbee and super spinnerblast.
In my case, due to financial reason, I do joint venture with very close friends. It can be very problematic, so choosing a friend for JV breeding is very important.

I have been afraid of getting my friends involved just because of the sticky venture. My friends too have great snakes, but business can always ruin a friendship. I haven't decided yet if I'm willing to risk it yet. lol.
Its a good point for him to know about.
