If someone is offering you a Yellow Belly that you have to ask "is this a Yellow Belly" I'd take a pass on it. When you see the good stuff, you'll KNOW it's a Yellow Belly.

Here's what the good stuff looks like.

    Thanks!!!

Those are old pics and both animals have grown considerably since they were taken. I will say that if memory serves me right, you are VERY close on those weights.

    Re: identifying yellow bellies?

I was shown this guide by a friend on how to tell a YB from a normal when first researching BP morphs. I also found that when I was shown a normal next to a yellowbelly at a reptile show in person, it became very clear.

i had a look at that guide, and few things are puzzling me, it says about the spot on the head, my normal has that:

    heres his belly

    side and belly

    body shot

i now he is not a yb, not that i now, as he was sold to me as a normal het pied

    Re: identifying yellow bellies?

Although not an expert on identifying morphs, I have a yellow belly, and that coupled with the guide, your snake does not have enough flames (needs to be between almost every "alien") and not enough back blushing (ybs will run all the way from belly to black with the blushing from the flames). I would not be able to wager any opinion on the belly diffs as the speckling varies from snake to snake, but mine has a very wide and clear ivory colored belly with a few faint yellow patches and a much smaller speckling pattern than yours.
