    Rip

so Lucy's eggs are on day 54 sigh the squished one didn't make it and started to get nasty growth on it nothing like I've seen on the forums. However, I decided to pip the eggs and well remove the icky one since i was placing the others on sterile hospital paper...I got the egg away (yes you have to wait for pics of babies they blow bubbles ur way though) I was curious to see when it dies and what could have caused it......Turns out it died not that long ago right before taking them from mom and placing them in the incubator. Cause of death moms weight. Turns out she crushed its head in a crease in the egg. Sigh poor babe you will be missed. No no pics for it was way to graphic. I can tell you it was def normal with really pretty pattern. when the babies poke their heads up I will post pics

That's a shame about the squished egg. Looking forward to pics of the others.

You decided to cut the eggs?.. Pip means they cut on their own. Sorry, hard to understand things when I'm tired.

Sorry to hear about the squished one. Good luck with the remaining!

    Re: Rip

yes I cut them I needed to get the dead one off as it was growing fungus bad and did not want to risk the others health. It was on top of two extremely healthy eggs which the babies are fine in and very alert

Sorry about the squished one - that sucks. But I look forward to seeing the rest of the babies! My clutch is on day 52, and still has that squished egg I showed you... but it's candling with good movement and size, so I'm guessing he/she will make it.

    Sorry for your loss.
Also, a moulded up egg will no no damage at all to healthy eggs and can be kept with it's clutchmates throughout incubation.
