    Re: Help! BP hurt :(

I finally got around to taking a couple pics of her injury after her first shed. 99% of the shed came off without a problem, there was a little bit on on her tail that didn't come off in the shed, but a quick soak and a gentle rubbing with a warm paper towel made it come off in 1 piece. She weighed 84g when I got her, and she weighs 104g now. Should I continue giving her 2 hoppers, or switch back to her usual 1 small adult mouse and the wound looks pretty healed.

The snake's original injury was not from a bite.

    Re: Help! BP hurt :(

Yea the injury was from tape, not a bite from live feeding.

I think this thread is great because it will educate ppl on the risks and injuries tape can cause. You hear ppl stressing the "no tape" policy, and Im sure some would think they are just being anal about bp husbandry. But that is not the case. This thread shows us all that tape is VERY detrimental to a BP's health. And not all Bp's with tape injuries will be as lucky as the one here.

Anyways...The Bp looks like it is doing wonderful. Im so so so happy to see the wound almost fully healed!!
