Re: She regurgitated, when do i try feed again?

So i got the results. No parasites! The problem he said why she regurged is the food i was feeding her was too big(took a hopper to show the size). I told him also what my temps are humidity etc and said everything is in an acceptable range. He said try feeding pinkys again and see what happens.

    Hi,

Maybe I missed this but what weight is your snake?

I know anything above a 35g ball python I'd start on fuzzies as a minimum and probably go straight to small hoppers ( these are all mice by the way ).

But sizes vary with supplier so it is a lot easier to go by either weight or a comparison picture so we can truly judge the sizes involved.

Never said your snake had parasites at all. I told you how to feed post regurgitation, its up to you if you want ot listen or not. If you feed too soon you will just cause more regurgitation, and youll be back on here asking for more why questions.

What ever the snake was eating you need to drop down a size for 2 months till its digestion is back on track.

Yes that is correct. But you must wait 2 weeks from the day it regurgitated before you feed. If you feed sooner you will end up with another regurge.

It shouldn't take longer than a half of an hour to get the results of a fecal back if they have their own lab.

Key here is IF they have their own lab. Which in turn means more than 1 day results

Are you implying that maybe a few of us are saying that your veterinarian (or most) could be wrong!; uneducated on ball pythons, or guesstimate care a whole lot?
Or that maybe a fair number of keepers here with PRACTICAL, real world experience could be more educated about ball pythons than a vet, whose vet school text book has about 45 pages in total dedicated to reptiles!?
    That's crazy talk!!
