Just remember, that sometimes you may hatch out 4.0 double Hets, or 3.1 even. If you did get 1.3, remember that every female will not lay eggs at a young age (some may take up to 5 years old to lay a first clutch). Then remember that each one could give you 2 eggs/2 infertiles/2 slugs. Then it would take almost 3 years woth of eggs to get 16 eggs, and theoretically you could get 1 Albino Pied. The reason you don't see many Double Homozygous recessives is that it is not easy to hit the goal.Originally Posted by smellyjelly
I am not trying to deter anyone from trying to make there own Double recessive, but it isn't as easy as the punnett squares make it sound. Heck, I am on my second clutch of trying to make a True Ghost with Double Hets, and I produced some Double Het Axanthic Pieds last year. I just no, that you have to keep your hopes lower on these long shots.
