I'll second what Vypyrz said. I use a feeding tub...well for my RTB, it's more like the floor and a tub lid, she perks up as soon as she sees me pull the rat out of the bucket. I don't even think I'd have the chance to put it down anyway. She's always taken from the forceps, very well.
