    New adoption

A work friend's kid's friend had this corn snake. lol yeah I know. We were told he was agressive and that the kid couldn't care for him and wanted to find a good home.
So we drove 2.5 hours and picked him up tank and all for free. Score! hahah
My boyfriend and I were looking forward to the challenge of retaming him and getting him back to his prime.
His tank was filthy.. after we took care of that and left him to adjust. We've attempted handling. Easy as pie. He's quick in the tank and settles right down once he's in your hands. So I suppose you can say we got off super easy. lol
Regardless, he's a pretty much a huge rope and doesn't have a name! Suggestions? Here's a couple pics:

Ride home is his filthy tank:

    All cleaned up!

    Thanks for looking!

Congrats .Yea some people are just plain sissies when they think the snake is going to kill them .If you just handle the snake and let it know your not going to hurt it it will not bite you .I am bad at giving names sorry

He's a gorgeous one. Congrats on the pick up. I have to agree with Equinebeing, I like the name Indie. Enjoy your new friend!

    Re: New adoption

    Thank you both!
Good old Cornsnakey has showed some of his true colours as he struck at me while still in his tank. lol! Gave me a shock and apparently I spoke too soon!
We decided to give him more time to settle in and then we'd start the attempts at hand taming (: Wish me luck! XD

    Re: New adoption

Update: We've nicknamed him Angry. My boyfriend and I have read more into aggression and handling techniques for corns and are taking a slow and steady approach to getting him tamed.
We're starting to see results as I can now put my hand in to replace his water with out him getting into the strike position and rattling.

I guess we ended up with what we originally thought we were getting... a challenge. LOL
