Lesser X Lesser, Lesser x Mojave?

I got the lesser in hopes to get a Bel in the future. But from what I was told, a Lesser x Mojave will give me the whitest snake....in comparison to Mojave x Mojave, Lesser x Lesser. Is this true?

The whitest one I've seen to date was a super butter (essentially the same as a super lesser imo), though lesser x mojave can also make pretty white ones as well. However, I wouldn't want to breed a BEL from 2 different alleles of the complex to any other member of the complex because you'll have a very hard time telling what exactly each BEL is. I would personally stick with a super lesser/butter and just look for the whitest one I could find.

Re: Lesser X Lesser, Lesser x Mojave?

From what I've heard from reputable sources the Mocha x mojo is the whitest Bp next to the Lesser pied and Super lesser. Now you can look through past threads talking about the bug eye issue. Lesser x lesser sometimes produce bug eyed lucys lesser x mojo does not. The bug eyes do not bother me and I will be producing super lessers and lesser x mojo Bel's but it is something to think about.

the one pictured is a mojave/lesser and you can see the head has some grey on it.

I've also seen pictures of mojave/lessers that look like they have yellow tint.

so I would have to say if you want the whitest snake, mojave/lesser isn't the way to go. tho there are some that are all white.

couple years ago I asked brian from bhb which was the whitest and he said lesser/lesser hands down. I personally believe lesser and butter are the same thing. so I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Re: Lesser X Lesser, Lesser x Mojave?

I would avoid Lesser x Lesser or Lesser x Butter due to the bug eye issue. I bred Lesser x Butter this year and got one BEL and sure enough...bugeyes! He's not too bad though...personally I think Lesser and Butter are the same...my breeding this year kind of backs that up...
