Spider Wobbles??
I've heard of Spiders get the "wobbles" and I wanted to see a video so I checked youtube....Is this the wobbles?
YouTube - ‪Female Spider Ball Python With Wobbles‬‎
Sorry I really don't know how to post a video properly, but this is the link....I just found this video rather depressing...Like the snake could control where it was going.....

Re: Spider Wobbles??
its amazing that any snake with a wobble that bad can eat, and even more amazing that they breed.

Re: Spider Wobbles??
That's all I can ever think about when I am tempted to buy a spider-based morph... very heartbreaking.

Re: Spider Wobbles??
My girl is almost that bad but she eats like a horse and can grab a mouse with her head upside down, no problem. I did'nt think she was going to wobble because it took about 2 or 3 months before it set in.

Re: Spider Wobbles??
WOW, that's pretty intense. I have a spider with next to NO wobble, I have yet to see even a head tilt. The "Cork Screw" deal, he has that, but a very MINOR case. Everytime I see vids like this I am Glad I got lucky. I agree with most, if I would of seen these extreme cases before getting him, I'd probably have stayed away.
Hopefully this year he father 2-3 clutches of Wobble/Cork screw- LESS babies....
I have heard also that after breeding they can develope a more noticable or more sever then "normal" wobble. I have yet to see it in person, but heard of it a few times on here I believe.
I think this morph is a Great looking snake, but as far as a new owner wanting one and being worried about the neurological problems....You have to just Love them for what they are, and deal with it accordingly. I wouldn't get rid of my spider for anything.....

Re: Spider Wobbles??
This is kind of why I dont want a spider and why I am such a perfectionist about them. The spider I would get would need to be perfect and have barely any wobble before I would invest in the spider project. So sad.
