It's always the left eye that is lost. It's from the tear duct not working right and getting clogged then infected all before the first shed. They lose the eye because of it. I've never heard of them actually being born without the eye, but it's lost before the first shed...or during the first shed.
Yep...it is always the left eye or both. This proves without a doubt that it is genetic.
