I'd go with normal het pied. I don't see a yellow belly.

i am quite happy for him to be a normal het pied, its just i am maybe buying a female to go with him in sept, so need to now what morph he is, if he was a yb i would have bought another yb, but if not, and he was just a het pied, i will buy a het pied female

While he has het pied markers, that doesn't make him a morph, only a normal that "might" carry the pied gene.

It's not a yellow belly, but he has a sweet belly.

If it was sold as a het pied from a reputable breeder, it's probably safe to say that it's a het pied with or without the markers.

    Re: what moprh??

some het pieds have ringer markings, some normals have ringer markings, but people still want to call them het markers, but their not reliable by any means.

If there was a reliable marker, it wouldn't be a recessive trait, it would be co-dom.

so short answer don't worry about it, if a honest breeder said its het pied, its het pied.

    Re: what moprh??

    Hi,

He does - but so do a lot of snakes who aren't het pied and a lot of het pied's don't have them.

They aren't really reliable indicators by themselves I'm afraid.

If I was buying a het pied I might be more inclined to get one with them if it was available but if I trusted the breeder that vouched they were het pieds the lack of them wouldn't stop me buying the animal.
