Some of my snakes seem...more naturally chubby than the others. I tend to not go by numbers but what the snake looks and (more importantly) feels like. If you can feel the spine but it isn't protruding, and if the snake is attractively plump but not sausage shaped or shaped like a skinny Colubrid, I wouldn't worry too much.
