I have two Amblypigids aka tailless whip scorpions (not vinegaroons) - a male and a female - and I adore them. But only because I am weird. They literally do not move except at night to check things out from a higher view point and then they kinda go back into their hole. My female is very agreeable and very handleable, but the male is skittish. They spend 99% of their time hanging upside down and molt this way, too. Make sure they have lots of wood to hang from and the more textured it is the better. Mine love the cork bark. I keep them somewhere around room temperature or just above, keep half of the tank with damp moss and the other half with dry mulch stuff. They dont seem to have a preference but will move to the moss when they are drinking (really rare). They each eat about 2 crickets a week and watching them eat is pretty cool. They grab the crix with those pincers and hold it in there while they om nom nom. They supposedly never bite, but I have seen the male in a defensive stance. I leave him alone when he does that so I havent tested the theory.
All in all, I love 'em and they are awesome for freaking out your friends (in a good, safe, still-in-the-cage kinda way). -lol-
