    Feeding while shedding??

My new BP is going through his first shed with me. I've been feeding him every Sunday, but I can tell he really wants to be left alone right now, and he probably has another 4 - 5 days left before he's done shedding. It's been 8 days since I fed him last (F/T), should I feed him again now or wait until he's done??

He's about 6 months old, so as a little guy I want to make sure he stays healthy and has proper nutrition.

You can go ahead and try to feed him if you want to. He may or may not eat for you. I have tried to feed my snakes in the past when they were in shed and they would not eat. Don't be to surprised if your snake refuses.

most of mines used to refuse while in shed so i've stopped offering all while in shed and just offer at their next scheduled feeding.

    Re: Feeding while shedding??

Mine are about 50/50. Some will, and others won't. Although, it appears to be my younger ones who will. I wouldn't give him a large meal. My male pastel ate a big meal right before one of his sheds, and it was terrible. I'm guessing he was too full and lazy.
