Age of owners?

I'm 20, about to turn 21 in Aug. My Dad has been encouraging me and my brother to catch garder snakes my whole life. So I figure "no big deal, he's fine with snakes. I'm going to get me a Ball Python". Come to find out my dad is terrified of snakes and would force himself to grab them and hand them to us so we didn't inherit his phobia....

I love your dad. Seriously, that's amazing. I hope to one day be as strong as him when it comes to my kids.
