Question Good weight for my BP?

I have an adult male BP who is approximately 3 1/2ft. I typically feed him 1 med. f/t rat every 10 days. However, he has been fasting for about 2 months now. Last year around the same time he fasted for 4 months.

I am curious what your typical adult male BP around the same length should weigh? I weighed him today and he is 1330g. Is that about right?

Re: Good weight for my BP?

Alright I searched a bit and found that weight varies I guess. I have just seen some pics of bp's that look like they weigh a lot more then mine. Kinda short and stout where mine is long and lean LOL. No spine sticking out or anything and he's a pretty happy camper so I am guessing it's pretty norm.

They're all different. Short, fat, tall, skinny. Just like people.

My het pied fasts for about the first six months of every year, and has gained weight each one of his life.

Re: Good weight for my BP?

Thanks Steve!!!! Apparently he's the only tall skinny one in our family

I did weigh him though and he is 200 grams more then he was the last time I weighed him which was quite awhile ago!!!! Yippee!!! Now maybe I can stop obsessing and come to the realization that 'Yes Kacie, he does go off feed for about 4 months usually this time of the year AND he does gain every year'.....sigh
