Went for a visit to Ultimate Reptiles in Hockley, TX today. For those of you who need a reptile store anywhere in the Houston area, look no further.

Blue phase Green Tree Python. This is NOT ovulating. This snake turned blue a few years into life and never changed back. She's in shed right now but still one of the most beautiful snakes I've ever seen:

How far is this from Dwntwn Houston?

It's going to be a bit of a haul. Probably 45 minutes or so. Worth the trip though. Eric's been doing this since 1973 and has tons and tons of knowledge about the husbandry of all types of reptiles. He's been kind of a mentor to me in the hobby. Super friendly and entertaining guy and as you can see, pretty cool collection too.

Thats what I am thinking. I think that I might have to take a trip out there. I live on the southwest corner of the inner loop....Google maps says 31 minutes but who knows....with Houston traffic it could be a week long adventure haha
