    Trust me, all of us were jerks as teenagers. Moms and Dads realize that we think with our hormones and not our brains at that age. If your Dad continued to try to repair the relationship, he knew you loved him and of course he loved you. The only punishment that is going on now is your remorse for being a kid. Stop it, stop it right now. You know your Dad loved you, and he knew you loved him. Trust me on this one. I've got 4 kids, 24, 20, 19 and 15. The oldest 3 had their own specific issues with Mom and Dad, but I can tell you, I NEVER stoppped loving them. As a matter of fact, when our relationship was in turmoil, I loved them even more.

    Just realize that he loved you enough to never give up on you.
