Prove it mite...help

Ok guys its a very long story ....but I am treating my enclosures with Provent a mite....anyways....we cleaned the bins....sprayed the outside and the inside and they have set outside for about 2 hours. There is like a greasy residue left in the bins....is that suppose to be wiped out...will it hurt my snakes if I put them back in. Just need some help here as my poor snakes are currently in the shower stall. Oye....

It shouldn't hurt them. The main reason for letting it air out after spraying is to allow the vapors and propellant to dissipate. Once you put the new substrate in, spray a light coating over that, as well as, anything else you put in the enclosures, except the water bowls and snakes...

The PAM does have an oily type residue in my experience.

Once the propellant and all that is dry, your good to go.

It also depends on how heavily your sprayed. You can wipe it down with a dry paper towel if you're seeing too much of a residue left behind.

It only takes a little bit to treat an enclosure, a very fine mist of spray is all it takes.

Thank you everyone for your responses and sorry I was so brief yesterday as I was FREAKING out. As most of you know I am over the top anal with my stuff and just about had a heart attack.

Long story almost short is that a friend of mine had to travel to Maine for family reasons. I was asked to take care of his reptiles....all 36 of them. Since he lives so far from me it was easier to bring it all to my house. Mind you all of my reptiles are upstairs and all of his are down stairs in a "reptile room"...use to be my guest room. Well.....one of his snakes was laying in his water for a couple of days. It made me a little nervous but I had checked everyone out previously and did not physically see anything. Sure enough....he ended up having mites. We soaked him 5 times and completely changed him to a different free standing bin and sent him home with someone that did only had one beardie.

Sad to say but my first and foremost concern was for our snakes and lizards. The hubby picked up the PAM last night and we soaked our snakes...found nothing and then treated their enclosures...just in case. Mind you we have been very anal about washing hands this whole time and trying to change our clothes when cleaning out bins prior to touching my animals. Also my snakes have been pretty much hands off during all of this except to clean their cages. But still...

So all in all this has been a crazy experience for me! I would NEVER do this again and would just make a drive as opposed to bringing things in my house. There is tons more to this story as to ALL the crazy things that have happened since having them. Probably could write a book at this point...lol...
