How much would you pay for...

A double het piebald/caramel albino hatchling? Do you think there is a market out there?

I would think theres a market for anything

But I think youd be able to sell actual pieds het for caramel albino better

The double hets are what, a 1 in 16 shot?

I'm pretty sure hitting the odds with a DH is a 1 in 32 shot. I could be wrong..

Gotta make double hets before you can make anything else. I think you could probably get a pretty penny for them, probably as much as some of the lower end double co-doms.

Though I suspect caramel albino will fall increasingly into disfavor as the price of ultramels comes down.

Re: How much would you pay for...

I'm a big fan of double hets. I need a het caramel male to test a few possible het females but will definitely be looking for some sort of combo and not just a het caramel.

That being said I'm surprised at how inexpensive some of the double het males have been lately. By rights they should be at least as expensive as the least expensive morph used to make them. For example, if you could have bred an albino male to your albino female but breed a pied male instead you should be able to sell your double het albino pied babies for at least as much as albinos or else there wouldn’t be much incentive to make them. However I've seen some double het albino pied males for less than albinos. Maybe it's just that the people working with double hets are wisely hording the females to help their odds and don't need the extra males.
