    Yes, and yes...

    You just have to watch her. It really depends on the animal, and even though there is a general schedule for breeding guidelines, most of the time the snakes don't follow it.

    The female is the one to pay attention to. If she is glowing, getting fatter, breeding with the male still, all of these things are signs of her developing.

    If she is not doing anything but eat, then I would leave her be for the next season, but still watch her closely just in case you missed the ovulation and all the other signs.
