Bubbles are normal. They like to blow bubbles sometimes.

    Relax.

Re: To Cut Or Not To Cut My Eggs

You can go ahead and cut them all when the first one pips. Keep in mind that some of them will not come out for DAYS after the first one does. I had one hatchling wait 5 days after the rest of the clutch hatched before she emerged. Nothing wrong with her...just tardy, lol.

Don't expect much movement when you first cut the eggs. When the snake is ready it will stick its nose up to breathe. Then it will rest for another 12 to 48 hours! Once it's breathing, it will be absorbing the rest of the yolk from the egg sac. Once that is all gone, it will emerge from the egg.

The clear gooey fluid is albumen. The albumen is a reservoir of liquid in the egg that retains moisture and provides some minerals and other nutrients.

You don't want to eliminate the albumen before the snake is breathing, but spilling some of it makes no difference.

Re: To Cut Or Not To Cut My Eggs

ok so i just cut the eggs, but i didnt really get the best odds. I am very happy that i have 14 babies (The Clutch Was 14 Eggs) but from what i saw it looks like i have 10 normals and 4 spiders. Not the best odds but i am very happy to have all these nice looking babies. Now lets make up for it with a lot of females

Re: To Cut Or Not To Cut My Eggs

What is weird is that 2 or 3 of the eggs that i have cut dont look like they are completely ready (They haven't absorbed all of the yolk) and they dont fill all the egg, when the rest do. Do you guys think they will b ok?

14 eggs, nice! 4 spiders from that lot certainly isnt bad

I'm sure the 2 or 3 that don't look ready will be fine - I think the main lesson I've learnt from this forum is PATIENCE! I've ready stories of people cutting eggs waaay too early and the babies have still gone full term and hatched without issues. So wait and try not to worry!
