Another thing to try before starting her on her regular food, is to offer her rice. It works great with my German Shepard when she gets into something she shouldn't have. It's a bit easier on their stomachs, than their normal dog food. Glad to hear that you got her into the vet though.

Yeah. This is a good idea. I knew a lady who only fet her dog cooked lamb and rice. She had a real sensitive stomach, and that is all she could eat.

Upset stomach = a mixture of unflavored, all natural canned PUMPKIN and cooked WHITE rice. Hope you is okay.

Kaiya doesn't like plain rice. It has to be flavored and alas we're out of lamb. Haha I'll look for some canned food that's the fancy lamb and rice flavor. We get steamed rice when we order Chinese/Japanese/Asian food in general and she couldn't care less about the rice. It's the one thing we can eat without getting talked to about "not sharing." haha Spanish rice, the rice we bake with chicken soup and mushroom soup [sounds weird but it's actually really good], and anything with any flavor she's all over. She took a couple bites of her food and reacted well. She's slowly putting herself back on food. haha She's way smarter than anyone gives her credit for most days.

Side note: we don't feed her people food really at all. Sometimes some soup broth when we make it from scratch and not a can and some fat and meat from like a steak or pork if it's de-boned.
