Pinstripes and spiders?

Probably a really stupid question here, but I've been wondering it for a while.
Do pinstripes share any genetic similarities to spiders?
I really like pinstripes, and may want one in the future, but don't want anything to do with spiders.

That's too bad--spiders are gorgeous and most are great eaters/breeders. There will always be plenty of genetic similarities since they're the same species, but the spider gene has nothing to do with the pinstripe gene.

Well that's good to hear.
I just don't want to deal with spiders as there is the possibility of neurological issues, similar to the ones in engima leopard geckos.

I know when i first heard of the infamous "wobble" i told myself NO WAY would i get a spider, even though before i heard that i found them to be one of the most beautiful snakes i have ever seen! I thought to myself, how could i possibly risk getting an ill snake? Still to this day they are probably my favorite base morph. There is so much you can do with a spider and/or a pinstripe for that matter but just because a spider has the wobble doesn't mean it can't eat reliably and breed every year for you. A lot of people have spiders that besides the wobble are perfect snakes. Other people have the perfect example of a morph with absolutely nothing wrong with it but can't get it to breed or eat. It all depends on the snake, IMO.

Some spiders actually may never show their neurological issue their entire lives unless under great distress such as having an RI or even being stressed from whatever reason. My spider hasn't ever wobbled, though that doesn't mean he won't as an adult. It can vary between each snake, but the neurological issue isn't too bad.

Like the first post, the pinstripe gene has completely nothing to do with the spider gene. Pins are awesome morphs though, definitely want one of those.

You bet, they are pretty cool snakes. I've only ever held one pinstripe so far haha, haven't gotten to hold too much stuff. I'm planning on breeding spider in to a lot of different things, love the spider gene. My favorite morph, period.

To not allow yourself to have such a beautiful animal due to the possibility of a neurological issue which does not hinder their lives with you is just doing yourself a great injustice, in my humble opinion.

Before I got a spider I was apprehensive due to having seen videos of how bad the wobble CAN be. But I made the decision to get one anyway and I can honestly say I probably like him just slightly more than any of the others I've got. He currently only shows signs of the wobble when he's excited about feeding time, but it doesn't hinder his ability to strike hard and FAST and he never misses.

From what little I know of the Engima morph, the neurological problems expressed by spider ball pythons are rarely anywhere NEAR as bad as those expressed by Enigma leopard geckos. I have a classmate with "rescued" Engima leos that she has to hand-feed because they are so uncoordinated. She has another that just circles all day long. I've never heard of a spider that was THAT bad -- a few are pretty bad, but those seem to be few and far between, I've never even heard of one that was unable to feed because of neurological problems.

To each his own, though -- if the neuro issues are a big turnoff for you, I wouldn't advise getting a spider since most all of them have it to some degree, even if it's extremely subtle. The pinstripe gene has none of the associated pleiotropic neuro effects, at least not that I've ever seen or heard, so you should be safe working only with pinstripes.
