Um,
You did take him to a vet and try and find out if it was possibly parasite or toxin related and double check for heating etc didn't you?
That's after ruling out some of the other reasons he might have been doing it?

BP's are known for being picky eaters and fasting for seemingly no reason. Did the vet give any insight into the reason he was turning his head funny?

a baby ball python explores.. and if they reach the top of the tub or tank, sometimes they would just go backwards upside down .. thus the C shape.. is that what you're talking about?

Damn. Sorry about that. Destroy everything he's touched. Possibly disinfect the entire snake room.

You do know that the only really reliable tests for IBD can only be done after the animal has been put to sleep? It is an extremely difficult thing to be certain of.
We see a lot of vets who know less than they should who mistake a whole host of things as IBD.
