Flexwatt buzzing...
Just set up our rack with 5 tubs. Does your flexwatt have a buzzing sound? Kind of like the sound a noisy flourescent light ballast makes.
Anyone else have this? Or do I possibly have a loose connection?

Re: Flexwatt buzzing...
I have noticed that in long runs of Flexwatt I can hear a slight buzzing.. Not sure what causes it or if it's a bad thing but it's there..

Re: Flexwatt buzzing...
buzzing is not a good news. I know there no moving parts in flexwatt.

Re: Flexwatt buzzing...
you thinknig more about it it possible a loos connection, specially if it a long ( or multi connection run) one or more pieces are loose and the buzzing is the eleltrical current arking betwee nthe wire and the flex itself.( and if ithsi is the case it dangerous as it a fire/shock hazard.) I have about 4 ft longruns on all but one piece of flex and he one piece is a single 7-8 ft long strip inthe incubator the rest are 4 ft or less.) I have yet ot hear a buzzing from the flex (one dimmer control a while back before it failed me), but then again I solder all my connections so they are stronger.
I would check all the connections and see if you can trace it ot a single piece or section , but be careful of possible shocks might not harm you much butit will tingle a lot...
