How cool would it get? If it doesn't dip below 60, I wouldn't use a heat lamp (I personally wouldn't ever). But if you choose too, keep an eye on the temps, you may end up with a fried tarantula.Originally Posted by tonyaltn

I live in an apartment that can get really hot in the summer so I run the air alot, so Im guessing a small overhead lamp would be enough to keep the temps up durring those times since it wouldnt really take much.
A little more reading and I should be prepared to pick one up next month
Tarantulas handle cold much better than heat, albeit Chile is a land of temperature extremes.
