Is there a limit/standard on pairing a small male with a big female?

I put a 600 gram male with a 3500 gram female once, and he did his duty just fine--all eggs hatched (huge clutch, too).
Don't worry about him, if she lies on him and he's uncomfortable, he'll squeeze his way out and move. lol
