    Water monitor set up questions..

    quick question i have a basking light and a uvb light for the calcium should i leave on the basking light all night on or should i just leave the uvb light on during the night and the basking light off? should i keep both lights on all day and night?

    Any animal, diurnal or nocturnal, needs dark at nighttime.

    I am no monitor keeper and don't know about providing basking hotspots for your monitor at night, but for sure he needs dark. Keep that fluorescent UVB bulb off at night.

    All white lights go off at night time. If they need warmth during the night, you can use a ceramic heat emitting bulb, or a red night light heat bulb.

    i thought some monitors did not benefit from uvb?
