    Both of those things you suggested are not parasites, they both are infections/pus of and in the eyes. I've never heard of a reptile that had it, mainly people, but some animals do get it, but, I've really never heard of herps getting this. The whole ocean beach thing sounds wayyy off.

    See first it starts with the swelling (uveitis) which causes fluid/pus to build up in the eye(hypopyon).
