Yup same here. I read EVERYTHING that I could my hands on prior to purchase. Im glad that I did too! Ive owned other snakes before (red tail boa, and a western d-back rattler). They were pretty hardy snakes and BPs seem to require alot more. So far so good!

Wait a minute.......you can keep Ball Pythons together? I knew childreni could be kept together but never knew that about Ball Pythons. Shed some light? I never had an interest in Ball Pythons before, but now seeing all the variations has peaked my interest.

Its not advised to keep ball pythons together because they are a solitary species, if housed together they can more easily spread mites and if one ball python gets an ri, most likely its cage mate will get it too. Just more stressful to keep them together. Tubs are a cheap option to separate ball pythons. for about 7 bucks you can get a tub compared to 50-150 for your typical aquarium.

besides that, I have read that before and it just gives some info about the origin and such. Its really a long winded version of the caresheet... but I found it interesting to read! I read this probably 1 and 1/2 years ago... just when I was reading into ball pythons

Thanks for the response. Oh well, I figured it was too good to true. I always wondered why its no big deal with a pair of childreni but off limits with others. Guess I'll wait on my Ball pair until I build my rack system. Still a good read nonetheless.
