Droid Incredible? Does it live up to it's name?

Hello everyone! I figure I could use some opinions on this matter.
My t-mobile contract expires in October, at which I will then be converting to Verizon.
So my question is, should I go ahead and get the Droid Incredible or should I wait for Verizon to get their Iphone in January and purchase that? Any and all Input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Save your money and don't bother with a data plan. They're so freaking over-priced I can't believe anyone uses smartphones.

Re: Droid Incredible? Does it live up to it's name?

I have the Droid Eris (switched from my blackberry) IMO Blackberry and Droid are as good as it gets. I have had literally not one single problem w/ my Eris. Pretty much anyone I know that has a droid is not disappointed and loves it. I would say the incredible probably does indeed live up to it's name. If not you could always go w/ the Droid Eris. I'm a firm believer in droid and if that's the route you choose to go I'm sure you will be a believer as well. Hope this helps!

    Cheers

The Incredible is a really nice phone. I would get the upcoming Droid X if I were on Verizon.

I don't even use email on my computer anymore and I'm able to browse the web as much as I like, so it's worth it to me. It's my phone, camera and mp3 player as well as the web browser and email. It's a small price for me to pay to have access to whatever I need when I need it.

I my HTC Incredible! I've had mine since the day before launch day.

However, they are back-ordered on them, so you may have to wait on one. The next Verizon Droid is the Motorola X which has a larger screen. However, the Incredible is perfect for me, so even if I could switch right now - I wouldn't!

Alright thanks everybody for the replies! You've helped me make up my mind! Plus, with the problems AT&T has with the newer Iphones I think i'm going to go the Droid route. So now I'll just compare the incredible and X and see which fits me best! Thanks again

I hope that I'll be able to tell you about it next Tuesday. I hope it's as good as everyone is saying.

The Incredible isn't shipping until August 3rd according to Verizon's site. The X should be available on the 15th (I believe that is the release date), it's looking like a kick-arse phone too...big but kick-arse!
If you want a physical keyboard the Moto Droid 2 is coming out in late summer (according to rumor). You could always get an original Moto Droid too, it's a great phone.
The iPhone has been "coming to Verizon" forever, don't hold your breath on that January date
