Re: Landmark Ohio Animal Welfare Agreement Reached

The bright side, however, is that since it's an executive order it will probably be totally ignored by everyone in the state. Captive Born Reptiles will stay in business, the All-Ohio and All-Cleveland shows will still be held (and packed) every month, myself and the rest of the Ohio crew will continue to keep, acquire, and breed boas.
The bad news is that the HSUS has found a way to totally circumvent every possible system of checks and balances. The HSUS and Strickland have a sort of "truce", if the Gov compromises with them, they won't put any extreme bills that would KILL Ohio farming on the November ballots. This means that whenever they say "jump", our wonderful SPINELESS governor will ask, "How high?"
There is a way to potentially stop this Executive Order from happening. Call 614-466-2000 (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm) Tell whoever you speak to in Gov Strickland's office thathe will be a 1 term Governor if he signs the executive order banning exotic pets. The more calls he gets, the better. I know most of you don't live in Ohio, but please help us out here. If we keep this from happening, that's one more win over HSUS, one more win for our hobby.
