Its prety crazy how well some organisms are put together and how easily... (gross)
...Others can be taken apart.
In Bio we were dissecting a lot of different things, squids, crayfish, worms, etc. When we got to the rats I came in entirely prepared, my teacher said we couldnt dissect the brain out because of how difficult it is, well I came in with a guide and can you believe it took me an hour of chipping bone to get it out?
The musculature of mammals is extremely well connected to the skin and bone, other animals can easily be separated, but mammals are extremely well put together, it's amazing. Everyone else got to dissect the rest of the rat, and there is a lot there to dissect, but I spent the whole time on the brain. I still have it sitting on my desk in a plastic jar and looking at it makes me tear up because it was just such an awesome moment in my life.
Anyway, yeah, I just wanted to share.

Mammals are pretty sturdy, but they're also one of the most inefficient. I've often wondered why.
