    Wee house in the country.

Stumbled across this pad fortnight ago when I was out doing a bit of bird watching. This must have been a beautiful house in it's time, with fantastic views and surroundings. Surrounded by the hills of Antrim and views across to the Mull of Kintyre and the Ailsa Craig. It's a pity to see it like this but it makes for great photographs, well hopefully.

Great pictures! The house looks rather historical. What a beautiful view too!

Ireland has always been #1 on my list of countries I want to visit and those pictures just made me want to go even sooner. Beautiful!

Thanks. I've been doing a bit of research on the house and who lived in it. It seems that the same family lived in it for generations and then had to give it up as the there was very little money to be made at the farming. Sad to see such a beautiful house, in such a splendid location, lying the way it is.

I've a new thread to whet your appetite with. It's a follow on from the 'Wee house' photo's. I think you might like them

That would be a great place to restore to original appearance using modern materials. The location would make it worth doing.

This is the opinion of everybody I have shown these pics to, myself included. This place has to be seen to be truly appreciated but the land it is situated on is owned by a somewhat ruthless and hateful landowner/farmer. It'll probably sit the way it is until it crumbles away to nothing.
