    My very first ball python (and snake) has never eaten rats, and I do both live & f/t feedings for my collection. She's around 1.5-2 years old now, and probably weighs a little over 800g... my het albino girl of the same age eats small rats, and weighs around 1100g. So it's not a huge difference, but a difference nonetheless. The problem is that she won't take more than 2-3 mice (if that) per feeding, so I'm afraid her growth rate is slowing down considerably.

    Bottom line, these mousers will eventually reach breeding size, but might need an extra season to get there! Just keep feeding her what she'll take, and maybe consider live if you're having doubts about her growth... speaking of which, have you tried a live rat before? And what about ASFs?
