Yard Cleaning/Herping...
Well, I was doing some needed yard work to prepare for our baby shower in a few weeks and ended up finding 6 lizard/gecko eggs..lol...
I was pulling some weeds, moving fire wood around and found one. I then realized it's hatching time for all the little critters. So I started moving stuff around, I lifted a big flat rock and found 2, moved some wood and found 3 more!!...6 in all, 2 look to be geckos (might just be the one Big one), and the other 4 should be the common anoles...I guess I found then just in time, a nasty storm just came through and everything is flooded and soaked...Lets see if they all hatch now. They look to be ready anyday now, plus I found a few empty egg shells in two different places...
Here's a quick shot..

Oh, ofcourse. I just didn't want to leave them out in the weather exposed from me moving stuff. I just wanted to keep them safe and once they hatch their gonna be released in the same area I found them.
I just checked on them and 3 of em' are starting to dimple, hopefully I'll be seeing some little babies soon...
Thanks.

Don't release the geckoes? They're invasive.

All Geckos?...I'm assuming these are the regular ones you see outside by the light...I seen a killer looking ine the other day, really dark colors, then a little while later hecompletely changed to a lighter color...
I'll do some more research, thans for the heads up though....If they are infact invasive, I'll keep the little guys...they arent the Leopard geckos or anything like that, incase your misunderstanding...lol.
Thanks though.

If they are invasive, then I promise you, they've already invaded if they're laying eggs in the vicinity. Re-release isn't going to change anything.
If you're set on saving them instead of leaving them out in the rain, put them back where they came from. Removing species from the wild (invasive or not) can have it's own legalities and it's just better to leave it alone.

Re: Yard Cleaning/Herping...
i'd just end up parroting what blackcrystal said so i'll leave this for food for thought...me & my fiancee rescued an eastern box turtle a bit ago but had to re release it after we were told by numerous authorities to do so. we wanted to keep it and all but...its a native species to where we live and it'd have been like taking a deer out of the wild and keeping it in our backyard. not good for the population.
