:( My Snake Almost Eating :(

Today, my snake was supposed to eat. Well, he didn't. He checked them out, looking at them and sniffing/tasting them, but he never went for them. I just threw them away. He is about to shed, though, so I can't really blame him. I'll try again in five days, or after he sheds. Here is the video:

I would suggest getting some feed tongs, grab the prey by the scruff of the neck, heat it up with a blow dryer for about 30 seconds or so and zombie dance it about 3-4 inches in front of the hide. It might get you a better feeding response. It works for me...

    Hi,

I would also only have one of them in the tank at any one time - wait until he has finished the first one and realigned his jaws before introducing the second.

    Thanks!

Hopefully he eats, he did look interested, didn't he? Well, maybe I'm just crazy.

It is SO frustrating when they don't eat, I'm sorry. The longest unbroken fast I've dealt with so far was 8 months long, I was about pulling my hair out by the time she finally ate, and then after that she didn't eat for 2 months again. Fingers crossed that he eats for you soon! Hopefully he doesn't fast for so long.

    Thank you so much!

I hope you don't have any eight month long fasts in the future!
