Multiple Sire Clutches...

I was hoping some could answer a question of mine... If you had a normal female and bred it with say a pastel male and a spider male. I know there is a chance of getting both pastels and spiders in the clutch, but is it possible to get a bee or does that exceed the possiblities of the genes being passed?

No bees, but definately possible to have spiders and pastels in the clutch. Doesn't happen all the time though, so you might only get pastels or spiders. Good luck though, I've seen both in a double sired clutch before. ~Caylan.S.~

I think its only possible for one sperm to fertilize the egg.

A good question is though....

Would it be possible to have twins in an egg and have them be 2 different morphs?

I don't think that would be possible either, as you said, only one sperm is able to fertilize the egg, although it may be possible to have a spider and a normal in one egg? But again I don't think that is possible either. But I'll be honest and say that I really don't know for sure. ~Caylan.S.~

You did ... Except that I seem to recall a thread where someone saw a non-morph (or single-gene morph) head poking out of an egg, felt disappointed at failing to get what he wanted out of the breeding, and then was incredibly excited to discover the morph he wanted in the same egg, hiding underneath its twin sibling.

I can't remember who it was, though ... And it beats the heck out of me how that would work, because unless I missed something, only one sperm can fertilize an egg.

Perhaps, however, two fertilized eggs sometimes get shelled together ...?

So then I'm guessing it's something where the two fertilized eggs are very closely associated in the oviduct, and become shelled together ... I'm guessing.
