bp's do not need any type of light. Like Python1024 mentioned. Only use the light to keep your ambient temps stable. The light will suck any humidity out of your tank. I compensate with a wet/damp towel on part of the screened lid. Have not used the the light since March when it was still cold. The landlord here does not crank the heat up.
