Tub Heating Questions
I have looked in a lot of places and have not been able to find a specific answer to a question i have. When using a tub setup. IS the ONLY heat source UTH? Or do you have to keep the room they are in at 80-85 as well?
I see alot of ppl using tubs.. and im thinking are they all keeping the whole room 80-85 or are the tubs small enough that the heat from the UTH is enough to up the air temp inside the tubs as well. Thanks for your help.

Re: Tub Heating Questions
I think you would have to play around with house hold temps to see what you get.
Cool Side = 80-83
Warm Side = 90-93

Re: Tub Heating Questions
The room temp in my snake area is 78-80 degrees
If I don't keep the temps up at 78 my cool end ambient won't stay ot or over 78.

Yea, when I said Warm Side I meant the warmest part of the tank.

Re: Tub Heating Questions
Hmmm.. Makes sense. Lets take it a step further.. What if the room is the size of a closet that is 40"w x 40"d x 8feet tall. I have this old closet of mine that i dont use anymore. IT has 8 shelves built in it already. The other day i got the idea....hmmmmm maybe i can switch this into a snake room. But im unsure how i would heat it up....without a heater duct. As far as ventilation goes under the door is a good 2inch gap as well as all the way around it is not a tight fit haha. I can also put a fan inside. I suppose i could just run a light inside and see what kinda temps i get. I just wanna make sure i dont start growin mold. This might be a trial and error project with a made up cage and no snake in it to see what its possible of handling.

Re: Tub Heating Questions
I keep my room at about 75* which makes the ambient temp in the tub just a bit higher then that.
My hot spot is at 92-93*. Everybody eats poops and sheds normally.

Well thats about the tempature of my room.. the closet is in that room. This is starting to look like a doable thing as long as i can figure out how to make sure its not toooooo stuffy in my closet so mold doesnt grow.

A circulating fan? Leave the door open?
