    Egg info!

    Hello everybody.
I am on my first steps of breeding and I have some questions:
    1: I have my incubator at 88.5 F.
When my eggs are supposed to lose some of their volume?

    2. When is usually safe to open the eggs? Because I have lost a baby leaving it inside too much....

    Re: Egg info!

Depending on the length of time that the eggs have been incubating, the eggs can lose volume. Around three weeks before hatching should they start dimpling, if not later.

If they are new eggs, and they are shrinking, then you need to add more water to your incubation medium.

You can cut the egg (if you know HOW) 10 days before the egg is due to hatch.

BE VERY CAREFUL. Don't cut a vein.

    Good luck!
