    Questions?

    I have two questions.

    1. About ten minutes ago, I took my snake out to take a few pictures. I put him back in. He hasn't gone back into his cage, and I went to go make sure his enclosure was locked, and I saw him staring at something and his head was shaking/vibrating semi-fast. Why was that happening?

    2. He won't go into his hide, is that because he is hunting? Or not?

The only time I've seen mine shake is while they were in feeding mode, right about to strike. So you might be right about the hunting... When did your snake feed last?

Probably just a hungry little guy! Since he just got the taste of food back, he is probably just very anxious to eat. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Sometimes when you put them back in their enclosures after having them out for a while, they roam around and then settle back into their hides. Its normal.

6/26/10. He will be getting fed again on 7/1/10. He stopped eating in November, so I am trying to get him to gain weight.

But his belly is pink (not a burn), so I think he is shedding. He has gained size since eating four frozen/thawed mice. But it was really weird how his head was shaking.

    Thanks!

He is starting to shed, too! His color is dull, and his belly is pink. His eyes haven't clouded up, yet. he will be getting fed in a few days, hopefully he eats again!
