I'd say something small since she is a jobless college student so she'd need something easy that she wouldnt need to feed mice to (Beardies).

You dont need or have to feed mice to beardies. I dont even think its recommended

Beardies are really cool though. I dont see how size is an issue.

But definitely look into geckos.
