    Woma x Woma

I know the pearl morph is woma with a woma but was it a hg woma to a hg woma or was it a pair of regular womas? Has it been tried again since the pearl died?

    Re: Woma x Woma

It was from a hidden gene pair. I have often wondered what the homozygous form if it existed of the regular Woma would look like. From what I have recently heard, Brian at BHB has tried it a few times with nothing exceptional popping out.

Also, there was a picture a couple years ago from Kevin that should a Lesser Pearl that appeared to have some pretty good size to it (somewhere around 500 grams judging by the other snakes in the pic). I don't know if that animal lived any longer than a year, it may have, but it may mean that another gene added to the Pearl may strengthen it enough to make it survive. Maybe we will learn more this year about the project. Every year that goes by is another year worth of experience working with many of these genes that are actually in there infancy even if they have been around for 10 years.

    Re: Woma x Woma

My female woma is almost 700 grams and I wanna start to plan what male to pick up to pair her up with. I might just try the woma to a woma and see for myself. Or maybe pair her up with a pied to get some woma het pied. So many choices

    Re: Woma x Woma

I may try the woma X woma next season, given all the confusion over this.

Since I have a woma-lesser to work with now, I should get some more nice woma-lessers, at the very least. If nothing strange pops out, and I have no eggs die...I guess I'll be holding everything back to check for supers, and see if it's actually dominant!

    Re: Woma x Woma

I did the Woma to Woma this year. She is due to lay in a week or two. I'm interested to see what pops out.
