Fogger for humidity?

I would get a room humidifier. Or, there is a sticky here that tells you how to make your own. It has great instructions.

The only problem with a fogger is, you don't want your ball to be wet. Or, to stay in a wet cage. I guess you can turn them down to only come on once a day? Hmm. Not really sure.

Yes, you can plug them into timers, I've only used a dimmer once, but I would think having it on a timer would be better.
