    They eat crickets??

    Are they similar to garters? I would either release it or look up more feeding husbandry. Crickets don't provide any nutritional value to snakes generally, and it's good to feed young garters minnows and worms.

    Edit: Well apparently they are adapt at eating snails and pulling them from their shells. But it also said they eat small amphibians and soft-bodied insects. I personally would not consider crickets to be soft bodied, so I'd stick to worms.
