They say a lot of bloods are "snippy", By my Vladdy is a sweety.

Hold on to what you believe
even if it is a tree which stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do
even if it is a long way from here.
Hold on to life
even when it is easier letting go.
Hold on to my hand
even when I have gone far away from you.

Re: this is my Vladimire
I couldn`t agree with you more. My Vladdy is a *****cat. He loves to be held. The girl who I got him from is rough. she is more into doctoring animals than showing love. doesn`t mean she is a bad keeper. I got all of my snakes from her before she closed down, but he would always try to get away when she would try to handle him . one time he even musted her!! I couldn`t believe it. He NEVER even shows a hint of fear or aggresion when I handle him. Just her! I think it`s kinda funny, except for the fact that he maybe scared... I love him, and he only wants to be held... I just brought up the "snippy part because I`ve heard from morwe than a few that they are. I would have never known otherwise

Bloods hopefully will lose the bad rep they have been tagged with mostly due to peoples experience with wild caught specimens imo, properly cared for and brought up they are great snakes with individual characteristics and nothing like the attitude often associated with.
I think that some people aren`t gentle enough when they handle their snakes. Maybe I treat mine with kid gloves, but I would never want to think of an animal being scared when we approach them.

Animals in general react to a persons energy they give off whether it be fearfulness , weariness, calmness or anger etc. You never want any animal snake or otherwise to be scared when you approach hence why it is important to project the right energy imo.
The tighter you hold a constrictor the more resistance it will give back, when your snake gets big enough to pose handling problems you really need to have found a good balance between gentle and firm because restricting a constrictor is just a whole world of problems lol

I have no cap on his size. being a male, he won`t get so big. My Baby is so docile. I do agree when you let them out to roam, they are like a 2 year old. they like to get into everything. Baby is a very curious snake and if I let him he would really get into stuff. It is exhausting, but for his size, he is quite easy to handle. I open the door to his enclosure, he climbs into his bath, has a drink then does his business. Crawls back out and roams for a while , and when he is ready to go back home, he does so. I do have to guide him if he is heading for a place where he can get into trouble, but otherwise, he is pretty awsome.

Re: this is my Vladimire
Thank you. I agree if I do say so myself.... They ARE gorgeous, aren`t they? He is actually starting to turn that sort of hot pinkish around his jaw line. Sometimes it is more noticable than others, though. He also has that beautiful orange colloring that gets more intense as they get older. I don`t think he is a black faced blood, sometimes. I know there are dirfferent kinds, I`m not exactly sure which he is... any thoughts?
