umbilical cord problem

hy I have a question about hatchling...

Yesterday the last snake come out of the egg but it has the rest of its umbilical cord still attached







so is that normal? and if not can somebody tell my what i have to do?

Keep it on wet paper towels in its tub

From what I've read, it should fall off before too long.

problem is that a part of umbilical cord fell off and the rest of it is comming out of its belly

The new pics appear to be deflated a bit. This leads me to believe that there was a bit of yolk left in the umbilical that the animal is absorbing. The snake just crawled out a bit early. As everyone else stated, it should start to dry up in about 1 or 2 days, and be gone in about 4.
